A lot of Colton fencing has simply been there a very long time. Chain link from decades back, wood that has gone grey and cupped, posts set in ground that has shifted more than once. The honest first question is whether a run is worth repairing, and often it is. If the posts are sound we can re-panel or re-fabric a line for far less than a rebuild.
Lots here tend to be compact, which puts the emphasis on the side yard and the gate. Getting a gate wide enough to move a mower, a bin or a motorcycle through changes how usable a small yard is, and it is usually the cheapest improvement on the property.

Chain link remains the most economical way to fence a long line or secure a yard, and built properly with the right gauge and decent posts it lasts for years. We install it for homes, yards and commercial frontage.
Wood is still the choice where privacy matters, and vinyl is what most people move to when they are tired of repainting. We will lay out what each costs and how each behaves in this climate, then let you choose.
On a smaller lot the gate is the difference between a usable side yard and a wasted one. We set gate posts deeper than line posts, brace the frame, and size hardware to the span so it still shuts square in a few years.

Colton grew up around the railroad. The city sits at a junction where lines cross, and the crossing at the center of town is one of the busiest rail intersections in the region, which is why Colton's history reads as a railroad town rather than a citrus one.
It is also one of the older cities in the valley, incorporated in 1887, and it kept a compact street grid that most of its newer neighbors never had. Fleming Park and the older neighborhoods around it still show that early layout, and Mount Slover rises right at the edge of town above the cement plant that has worked its limestone for more than a century.
Sitting between San Bernardino, Grand Terrace and Rialto, Colton is where a lot of the region's freight and traffic passes through. For fencing that means a genuine mix of residential repair work and commercial perimeter jobs, often in the same week.
