Two Halves Of One City
South of Foothill Boulevard the lots tend to be older and a bit deeper, often with a driveway that runs past the house. That is where we do most of our RV gate work in Rialto, because the access is there if the fence is planned around it. Fencing on these streets is frequently a replacement of something that has been up for thirty years.
North of the 210 the pattern flips to newer tracts with block wall already on two or three sides. The job becomes the return, the side gate and occasionally a taller run where a lot backs onto open ground. HOA rules apply in parts of this area, so it is worth checking before you settle on a color.
Across the whole city, wind is the thing that decides how long a fence lasts. Air spills down the Cajon corridor and hits this side of the valley with real force, and solid six foot fencing takes that load broadside. Deeper posts and tighter spacing are cheap at installation and expensive to retrofit.

Fence Installation

Plenty of Rialto lots have room beside the house for a trailer or an RV, and a properly built gate is what makes that space usable. We look at the approach and the swing before quoting, because a gate that cannot open fully is worse than no gate.
Gate posts go deeper than line posts, frames get braced, and hardware is sized for the span. That is the whole difference between a gate that lasts and one that drags.

About Rialto
Rialto started as a colony town on the rail line in the 1880s and spent its first century in citrus. The Wigwam Motel, one of the last of its kind, still sits on Foothill Boulevard where Route 66 runs through the city, and it is the landmark most people picture when they picture Rialto.
Today the city is a mix of everything the Inland Empire does. There are quiet older neighborhoods with mature trees, large newer tracts on the north side, and a substantial logistics corridor that keeps a good deal of the region moving. The airport at the old Rialto Municipal site has been redeveloping for years into housing and commercial space.

Deep enough for the exposure, which is more than the minimum on a windy run. Rather than quote a number sight unseen, we look at the site, the fence height and the span, then set them accordingly.
