Highgrove has been here a long time, and its fences show it. Wood that has greyed and cupped, chain link from another era, posts set in ground that has shifted through decades of wet and dry years. A good share of what we do is sorting out which parts are still worth keeping.
Lot sizes vary street by street, which changes the answer. On a standard lot the job is privacy fencing and a side gate. Where there is depth behind the house the conversation widens to longer runs, trailer access and sometimes animals, and the material mix shifts with it.
The community is unincorporated, so Riverside County generally governs setbacks and what is allowed on your parcel rather than a city. It is worth a call to them before you plan anything tall or close to a line, and we will build to whatever they confirm.

A fence that has been up for thirty years does not usually fail all at once. Posts go first at ground level, panels follow, and the gate stops latching long before either. That means a replacement can often be partial, and partial is much cheaper.
We will walk the line, tell you which sections are sound, and quote the repair and the full replacement so the decision is yours with real numbers attached.
Wood is still the most common choice here and repairs easily a board at a time. Vinyl costs more up front and takes the maintenance off your hands. Chain link is unbeatable on a long boundary or where you want to keep light and air through the line.
We install all three and will tell you plainly which makes sense for the run you are fencing.
Side gates are the most used and most neglected part of any fence. We set gate posts deeper than line posts, brace the frame and size the hardware to the span.
Where a lot has depth, a trailer or RV gate is often the improvement that makes the back of the property usable.

Riverside County
Highgrove is a small unincorporated community at the northern edge of Riverside County, wedged between Riverside, Colton and Grand Terrace. The county line runs close enough that neighbors on different streets can answer to different jurisdictions.
It grew up around the rail and the citrus that moved on it, and the older street pattern still reflects that. The Gage Canal, one of the engineering projects that made citrus possible across this part of the valley, runs through the area.
It has stayed comparatively small while the cities around it expanded, and that is much of its appeal. Quiet streets, older housing stock, and enough room on some parcels to keep a trailer or a couple of animals without being out in the country.
